When we get into a rut, how do we get out of it? How do we pull ourselves up and lift our spirit?

One of the best medicines I’ve found is helping others. It could be something as small as buying a cup of coffee for a friend or sending a handwritten note to a family member. It allows you to focus on someone else and put aside any negative vibes. When I do something nice for someone, I tend to realize afterward that I feel better. Lighter, you could say.

I also enjoy more simple acts; a compliment. Maybe a hug and a few kind words. It is the little, daily actions that define who we are and how people perceive us.

If you can make someone else’s day a little brighter then why wouldn’t you?

Take this opportunity to bring about joy in the world, if even for a moment for one person.

  1. This is so true 🙂 I personally love buying gifts for people – no matter how big or small. Just the thrill of finding something that you just know is absolutely perfect for someone you care about – well, it’s a hard feeling to beat 🙂 A double cheeseburger from McDonald’s comes pretty close though 😀
